Sous chef at Brilliant Independent Restaurant, Central London
I am working with one of the coolest restaurants in Central London to find a creative and ambitious Junior Sous Chef or Sous chef, ready to step up and take a leading role in a small kitchen team.
The restaurant has a small number of seats but turns tables continuously over the 4 hour service. Dinner service has an extremely long waiting list – with the funky and unique menu on offer. Guests will return regularly to this favourite haunt in buzzing and vibrant area of London. The kitchen is open with lots of customer facing and interaction – the pressure is on cooking right in front of the paying guests!
For this, the Sous Chef requires someone who is truly passionate about food – able to create a menu that changes daily, and work closely with the Head Chef producing innovative seasonal dishes. Mixing cuisines, flavours and textures to put together an irresistable menu, with small plates and sharing dishes.
This is a great role for an experience Senior Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef, ideally with:
* Michelin or Rosette quality background
* Fluency or first language English
* Ability to train staff and run the kitchen in a Head Chef’s absence
* Skills working across the whole kitchen
* Creativity to do everything in-house, including all breads, ice creams, etc.
