Learning Opportunity – Commis Chef in small restaurant – 18k

I am working with a fantastic client, looking for a Commis Chef for their very popular small restaurant in Central London. The Commis Chef role is the perfect starting point for any junior chef looking to move to London with a Head Chef who has trained in some of the best London kitchens.

The Head Chef has worked with some of the best chefs in the UK, including the renowned Pierre Koffmann and Raymond Blanc. He now uses his classic training to create beautifully crafted modern cuisine, focussed on British produce and especially seafood sourced from the English coast. The Commis Chef will be able to gain the same classic training, creating food to an exceptionally high standard.

The restaurant offers an informal service with under 30 seats, however the restaurant’s quality has made it hugely popular so they often have up to 100 covers on a busy dinner service. It offers a welcoming and friendly environment, with a close-knit team between Front of House and the kitchen.

This is a perfect opportunity for an aspiring chef looking to gain top quality experience, to a 2 AA rosette standard. The role pays up to £18000 a year based on 55 hours a week, and the ability to travel to Central London is essential.
