Head of Sales and Marketing £45-50K for new London venue!
We are delighted to be exclusively working with an international business who are about to launch their latest exciting project in London, the Company specialise in exhibition experiences featuring art and popular culture, history and science. The venue will feature multiple unique, personal and tangible experiences and will open this year.
The Head of Sales & Marketing is responsible for the development and implementation of the Sales & Marketing Strategy, to deliver on targets for volume, revenue and profitability, as determined in the overall marketing and attraction/brand strategy. A strong commercial mind for maximizing and driving incremental revenue through both existing and sourcing and developing new sales and marketing opportunities. Role will be assisted by the Digital Marketing & Event Manager and will be working together/in close conjunction with a marketing agency, a PR bureau and a travel trade and tourism marketing agency.
Ensuring that all new sales ventures and revenue streams are developed in line with the overall marketing and attraction strategy, budget and team. Act as key point of contact across all core external trade and business clients and agencies within the travel trade market both locally and internationally. Develop critical strategic sales & marketing partnership alliances driving incremental return into the business. Deliver and maximize upon budgeted revenue, volume and SPC figures across all sales & marketing channels, undertaking key and agreed sales trips/clientele meetings and exhibitions/trade shows.
Responsible for delivering, integrating and implementing all aspects of the Marketing function and budget, including PR, digital, print, communications and brand strategies and campaigns. Demonstrate commercial awareness for underperforming campaign activity by presenting proactive proposals, solutions and actions to the General Manager and taking agreed relevant action.
Third party ticket sales and partnerships; analysing and optimising all third-party ticket sales to deliver on targets. Optimise use of their communication channels for maximum exposure, renegotiate deals, brand management and quality control on all commercial messaging/direct mailings/tools, create new business and partnerships for ticket sales.
Ensuring all marketing, communication and PR activities are all seamlessly integrated and corresponding with the current brand/campaign message. Communicating between venue, office, sponsors/partners and the external marketing suppliers; marketing agency (media buying, campaign strategy, SEM, partnerships, etc), PR agency (press communications, public relations, editorials, crisis communications, etc) and ensuring all channels are communicating the same message.
The Head of Sales and Marketing will work closely with the Senior Team; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials and presentations. Management of direct report(s), ensuring training, support, coaching, mentoring and development plans are implemented accordingly.
Conducting and coordinating relevant market information, trends, competitor analysis, market share, emerging markets, and all other business insights; ensuring that these are compiled and reported to the Senior Team and all relevant departments.
Will be supported by the Digital Marketing & Event Manager, whose core responsibilities are event management and managing of all brand’s digital channels – online and instore – to reach all set targets. Including creative content creation and publishing via all digital channels, analysing all data and optimising channels and content accordingly, SEM, website management, link building, affiliate marketing, assisting on sales, etc.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Marketing/Sales or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 5 years work experience, of which at least 3 years must be at senior management level in an advertisement/marketing environment.
* Proactive, creative and hands-on, not a 9-to-5 mentality.
* Ability to gather, analyse, optimize and report different data.
* A good negotiator for getting maximum returns on investment and exposure.
* Possess strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
* Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and multi task as necessary to meet a deadline.
* Great organization skills, detail oriented and self-starter.
* Ability to work with people from all levels of discipline, excellent management and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent solving problems and analytical skills to develop appropriate solutions.
