Chocolate Production Kitchen – Head Chef – Up to £35k

An exciting and expanding Chocolate company are looking for a Kitchen Manager /Head Pastry Chef to head up their production kitchen. The role will be to organise the kitchen and develop new delviious recipeies.

The role requires the successful candidate to be hands-on with the production and also to be creative with new takes on products recipes to presentation. The company are looking for someone who is willing to think outside the box and be inventive.

The position will require an efficient and skilled pastry chef or baker who can produce volume of up to 10,000 units dependant on trade levels. There will also be plenty of opportunity, and need, for creativity and inventiveness in creating new flavours. It would definitely require ‘out of the box’ thinking and flexibility.

Organisation is KEY! The unit needs to run very smoothly and to do this, you need to be a natural leader and organiser. Ideally you will have the ability to cost, source and produce the ingredients for the end product, and have a good grasp of logistics.

A back ground in pastry production such as a 5 star hotel with classical training is vital as well as experience in kitchen management.

The basic hours of work will be 55 hours per week but would be full time role as hours can vary. The salary is a generous £28-34k based on previous experience. The company is based in South East London currently but a site move might be on the horizon.
