We are currently recruiting talented Catering Assistants to work on a casual, part time basis for our clients based in central London. Our rates of pay are between £8 and £10 / hour +holiday pay depending on experience.

The Catering Assistant’s Duties and Responsibilities:

* Working in front and back of house to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of catering services to customers for breakfast, lunch and evening service
* Providing professional, friendly and efficient food and beverage service to customers
* Ensuring the kitchen and restaurant areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness – collect and wash glassware and crockery when necessary
* Maintaining all cabinets and display counters clean and well presented
* Assisting customers with queries regarding prices and menu choices
* Accurate handling of cash takings during service using both manual till and POS systems
* Maintaining safe and healthy work environment by following organisation standards and sanitation regulations

The Successful Catering Assistant:

* Has at least 6 months relevant experience in the Catering and Hospitality trade as a general assistant ,catering assistant, hospitality assistant, kitchen staff or any catering related role
* Can deliver great hospitality service in both a front of house and back of house environment
* Has a basic understanding and knowledge of food and nutrition
* Takes pride in giving the highest level of expert service and works quickly and professionally
* Is neat and tidy in appearance
* Is an outgoing, enthusiastic individual with an engaging personality and drive to deliver the best possible service, able to work both on their own and as part of a team
* Has a good command of the English Language and the legal right to work within the UK
