Banqueting Sous Chef – 5* London Hotel

You will work closely with the Head of Banqueting kitchen, supervising a full-time team of 6 chefs with part-time staff brought in to help with events up to 500 covers.

The Junior Sous role is a fantastic opportunity for a Chef de Partie to step up or a Junior Sous who has experience working in the best Banqueting kitchens of London. The hotel has a fantastic reputation so they will only consider a chef with experience at one of the best known and most luxurious 5* hotels.

The events held at this hotel create a restaurant experience for the diner – even with over 300 customers. The fresh menus are produced with exquisite style and finesse, creating buffets, canape parties and sit-down offerings.

As Junior Sous reporting to the Banqueting Head Chef you must understand flavour combinations and all kinds of ingredients, but also able to organise a team – as they can be up to 4 different events happening at once within the hotel.

The role pays a generous salary of £27,000 a year plus service charge, with hours dependent on business levels – longer hours expected in the run up to Christmas but quieter in Spring. Apply now if you are the right chef for this position.
