UK Coffee Week: Best Flatties in London

It’s UK coffee week, so we saw it fitting to ask our Australian colleagues to shed light on the top places in London to get the best flat white! The “flattie” is still the number one caffeine go to in London for obvious reasons – the delicious velvety milk and strong hit of coffee can be hard to resist. Check out these recommendations:

Black Sheep Coffee

Their name says it all…This coffee shop aims to stand out from the rest by making their own unorthodox coffees. Black Sheep was set up by two university friends out of their love for coffee. This herd can be found all over London so make sure you check them out.

The Gentleman Baristas

For a taste of “well-mannered” coffee head down to traditional coffee house The Gentleman Baristas. This is a big favourite in the office!  They have The Coffee House, Store St (their original venue) and The School House where you can learn to make the most of your beans! If you want to educate your taste buds as well as your mind this is the place to go!

Grind & CO

Grind has many locations across London, so if your flat white cravings come on fast you’ll be able to get yourself to a Grind store as soon as possible. Each venue has a different vibe where your flattie could be exchanged for a yummy Espresso Martini when the evening’s hits and coffee alone just doesn’t quite cut it.

Jonestown

If you find yourself wandering around East London, make sure you pop into Jonestown coffee for a delicious flat white to be enjoyed in a relaxing setting.  Jonestown’s coffee beans come from Papua New Guinea giving them a sweet aroma which 100% compliments their delicious organic cakes.

Federation Coffee

The coffee beans here are roasted at a close by market unit that fit together perfectly to make a delicious flat white. This small but busy coffee shop is situated in Brixton’s popular market making it a great place to sit, enjoy your coffee and of course…people watch.

Caravan Kings Cross

With a roastery on site, you can’t get your coffee any fresher than this! This Antipodean chain will also be trialing take away service soon at their Fitzrovia restaurant, so you can guarantee a solid (not literally) flat white on the go.
