Things to do in London before the summer ends

We can’t believe we’re halfway through Summer, honestly where has the time gone?! Don’t despair though, we have a few ideas that’ll help you make the most of the last few summer sunsets before winter rears its chilly head. From a day on the beach to a movie under the stars, we’ve got summer covered.

Brixton Beach – Always wanted to go to Cuba? No need… Cuba has come to Brixton! If you’re looking to step away from the fast pace of London life and bury your toes in the sand without travelling thousands of miles, now you can! With DJs, BBQ takeovers and outdoor salsa lessons it’s the perfect summer treat.

Ham Yard Roof Terrace – in the midst of Soho this urban village hotel sits quietly celebrating the British garden. Beautifully designed by Kit Kemp the terrace exudes luxury and the great British summertime! With some fantastic events taking place over the summer be sure to get your ticket soon.

A Banquet in Toad Hall – A multi-sensory evening taking place at The Greenhouse N19 throughout August is a must do this summer in London. Delicious cocktails and a delightful five course tasting menu and BOYB – this is something a little different. Whether it’s a group dinner for a celebration or just an excuse to try something new, the wind and the willows are coming to life this summer!

Notting Hill Carnival – This one always seems to creep up on us every year so it’s definitely worth diarising. Wear your wildest outfit over the bank holiday weekend in August and watch Notting Hill transform into a carnival of colour, music and dancing.

Sunfall Festivalthis one day festival gets some of London’s largest music venues involved including XOYO, The Nest and Phonox. Taking place in Brockwell Park on Saturday 12th August in the day and across various venues in South London throughout the evening, this is one not to be missed!

Underbelly FestivalIf you find yourself wandering down Southbank this summer and you stumble across a giant purple cow, you’ve found one of London’s biggest hidden gems – Underbelly. This summer fringe festival combines circus acts, cabaret and cutting-edge comedy. It is also home to one of the city’s longest outdoor bars with multiple street food vendors to choose from too. This one is definitely worth a visit.
