Christmas is less than 3 months away which means if you haven’t already, you really need to start thinking about booking your Christmas party. In recent years we’ve seen many of those in marketing manager jobs or pa jobs taking on the responsibility of arranging the Christmas party and other corporate events.
With this in mind, we thought we’d put together our top tips to help you get organised!
Date: Make sure you choose a date that suits as many people in the office as possible. Try to select a few dates that you can speak to venues about as they may very well be booked up during this busy period.
Time: If you are flexible on time, you may be able to find something cheaper if you book outside the normal evening booking times. A lovely Christmas themed breakfast or lunch can be equally enjoyable and at half the price. For those considering an evening do, make sure you factor in time for people to get to the venue and where people will change clothes if needed.
Venue: London is full of amazing venues from quirky pop-ups to the more extravagant hotels and landmark spaces. The main things to consider when looking for a venue are what budget you have available, the space capacity and finally, is it available on the dates you are considering. You can also get some great last minute deals if you are willing to take the risk and only book in the final weeks to Christmas.
Budget: It’s easy to get carried away when planning a Christmas party as there are some many costs involved! Make sure you consider all costs associated with each venue from the venue hire cost to the décor to the food and beverage packages, it really can add up quickly.
Catering: One of the key factors to hosting a great party is making sure all your guests are well fed! We work with some of the best catering companies in London and will happily get you in touch with them if you are looking for supplier. Email Jane Holland-Payne if you’d like some catering company suggestions.
