One Star House Party – Pop Up Restaurant

One Star House Party

About a year ago we published a blog about our friends at Butcher and Brine. A year on we cannot believe how far they’ve come and what exciting plans they have on the go. Having been hugely successful with the street food concept Butcher and Brine the team have now launched a very exclusive new venture best known as ‘One Star House Party’. Their new pop-up restaurant will be held in unique Air B&B venues across the globe where world-class chefs will serve up sharing tasting menus.

In their own words, this is what you can expect:

What are we?

A pop up restaurant concept that’s never been done before. One Star House Party is all about bringing together inno-vation and hospitality with a focus on fine-yet-casual sharing tasting menus in some outrageously cool locations.

Think the most unusual spaces, combined with world-class chefs whose experience ranges from the kitchens of Tom Aikens to Rene Redzepi, resulting in distinctly memorable dinner parties, all over the world. From an abandoned printing house in Hong Kong to a loft in the West Village of Manhattan, we aim to craft an immersive dining experi-ence with a focus on modern, ingredients-focused sharing menus.

Who are we?

Led by James Sharman, protégé of Tom Aikens and chef de partie at Noma in Copenhagen, the team of talented chefs and F&B professionals come from every corner of the globe, working their international endeavours in the culi-nary industry into the One Star House Party experience.

The front of house team is led by Trisha McCrae, who most recently was a managing partner for companies such as such as Gaucho and Soho house. Chef Kevin McCrae also trained with Tom Aikens and is a co-founder of Butcher and Brine, the innovative street food concept based in London.

Where we go?

Anywhere there are hungry, thoughtful people. We like cooking for and eating with diners who eat intentionally, and appreciate creative expression through food. Based in London, One Star House Party most recently popped up in Hong Kong to unprecedented popularity, having to extend what was a three day pop up to three weeks. You can see more of the experience in the Reuters feature here, the Tatler luxury magazine feature here, and Asia’s largest English food magazine, Foodie’s feature here.

Our next foodie foray is in America, where we are thrilled to be doing two major pop ups in the eating capitals of the US: New York and San Francisco.

Why follow us?

Working with Airbnb to find truly unique locations in a way that’s never been done before, we’re on a global mission to showcase innovation and inspire creativity in eaters and cooks, drawing on the captivating people and culinary scenes that are growing all around the world.
