Berenjak

Reinterpreting the classic hole in the wall kebab house, Berenjak will deliver smart but traditional Persian-style kebabs, stews and sides which we’re sure will have you running back for more.

  • Khoresht e Zereshk – Guinea fowl legs stewed with saffron, onion, potatoes and barberries
  • Khoresht Ghaimeh Badenjoon – Aubergine stew, split yellow peas and crispy potato; with the option of adding Beef Short Rib, yum!

MEATliquor Battersea

We have got some fantastic news! MEATliquor have opened their 12th London restaurant so head on down for the best cooked-to-order burgers and loaded fries in town. We’ve indulged ourselves and keep going back for more!

  • Dead Hippie™ – 2 x French’s mustard-fried beef patties, dead hippie sauce™, lettuce, cheese, pickles, minced white onions

Caractère

Michel Roux Jr’s daughter, Emily Roux, has teamed up with her husband, Diego Ferrari and opened a part French, part Italian restaurant in Notting Hill. We expect the queues will be out the door so be sure to book in advance, we sure will.

  • Seared mackerel, confit beetroot, black cardamom and parsley condiment
  • Roast rack of Herdwick lamb, grilled aubergine, ras el hanout and lamb jus
  • “Acquarello” risotto, almond praline, reduced port and black crumble

Tracks and Records

Usain Bolt has three restaurants back in Jamaica and we’re excited about his recently launched London eatery, Tracks and Records. The bar, restaurant and late lounge is a stone’s throw from Spitalfields market. Not only are we salivating at the Jamaican influenced grub on offer but also the 150 strong rum menu with 100 of those coming from Jamaica.

  • Jerk Chicken Spring Rolls – Breast & leg meat, sweetcorn, scotch bonnet pepper, pepper jack cheese, served with creamy coriander sauce
  • Coconut & Cassava Prawns – Prawns crusted with bammy and coconut flakes served with a pineapple sweet and sour sauce
  • Curried Goat – Goat meat marinated in spices for 24hrs, cooked in a rich curry sauce, served with white rice, seasonal vegetables, tostones
  • Smoked Tomato & Lentil Stew (v) – Hearty stew with sweet potato, coconut milk, hint of chilli, white rice, seasonal vegetables, tostones. Option to add jerk prawns (yes please!)

‘Cool Rummings’ – a refreshing and fruity blend of Don Q Grand Crystal Rum mixed with gin, apple juice and Agave nectar over ice.

Cattivo

Brixton now benefits from a new rustic café and underground speakeasy style cocktail bar, Cattivo, situated conveniently next door to Canova Hall. The food is Southern Italian-inspired with small sharing dishes plus pastas and ragus. They’ve even got the vegan lovers covered with a mouth-watering linguine with pistachio pesto, fresh squash and vegan hollandaise as well as a mushroom and aubergine ragu… Mmmm delish!

  • Pecorino Crochettas with peas, mint, watercress pesto
  • Courgette Flowers with goat’s cheese, honey and radicchio
  • Truffle & Pecorino Tortelloni with salsa di noci and fried sage

The Ivy in the Park

Overlooking Canada Square in Canary Wharf sits the latest addition to The Ivy empire, The Ivy in the Park. Open seven days a week, the large brasserie will sit close to 150 diners, plus there’s also two impressive outside terraces to sit back, enjoy the view whilst indulging in the fine cuisine.

  • Tuna carpaccio – Yellowfin tuna with ponzu dressing, avocado purée, toasted sesame and coriander shoots
  • Roast salmon fillet – Tenderstem broccoli, smoked almonds and a caviar and herb sauce on the side
  • The Ivy shepherd’s pie – Slow-braised lamb shoulder with beef and Wookey Hole Cheddar potato mash
  • Chicken bourguignon – Flat-iron chicken with crispy skin, creamed potato and bacon lardons

Art Yard Bar & Kitchen

Forming part of the Bankside Hotel, this new Blackfriars all-day hotspot will feature modern art throughout the venue, as well as a seasonal British produced inspired menu with a European twist. We’re particularly excited to visit on the weekend when they’ll be firing up the wood oven, roasting large cuts of meat served family-style perfect sharing. Sign us up!

Cecconi’s Shoreditch

Redchurch Townhouse, a boutique hotel/restaurant in the style of Dean Street Townhouse, will showcase a selection of artwork sourced from 40 artists, all under 40, most living in East London. A massive drawing card will of course be, Cecconi’s restaurant and bar, located on the ground floor which will serve up their famous lobster spaghetti, as well as a selection of cicchetti, pastas and pizzas.
