Lino

Lino, a new bar and restaurant from the Wright and Bell team, opened earlier this month. Situated between St Pauls Cathedral and Smithfield Market, the restaurant’s kitchen team is headed up by former Head Chef of The Dairy, Richard Falk. The menu consists of small and larger plates that are low-waste and served throughout the day.

  • Lasagne with pumpkin, Jerusalem artichoke and parmesan
  • Pork belly, Cavolo Nero, celeriac and white cabbage choucroute

Roe

Co-founder and Chef of the renowned seafood restaurant Hook in Camden, Simon Whiteside, is heading south to open his first solo restaurant, Roe, at Pop Brixton. The restaurant will focus solely on sustainable seafood from the British and Irish coast, using only small independent suppliers. We’re especially looking forward to trying their cocktail menu which will feature spirits from Sustainable Spirit Co.

  • Ink and Guinness soda bread with seaweed butter
  • Grey mullet poitin ceviche with cucumber and lime

Kalifornia Kitchen

Another vegan restaurant has opened in London this month, this time brought to you by influencer Loui Blake. The all-day dining restaurant will serve healthy vegan meals with a colourful list of smoothies and shakes to take-away. The restaurant which has a bright pink exterior and trendy spiral staircase will undoubtedly be on the list of Instagram popular hot spots.

  • Beetroot puree on sourdough with avocado and rose, vinaigrette, lemon and dill
  • Rainbow burrito bowl

Kutir

The chef that launched Gymkhana and won a Michelin Star at Jamayar, has opened his own restaurant, Kutir in Chelsea and we couldn’t be more excited! Rohit Ghai will be showcasing a high-end traditional Indian menu that focuses on game and seafood with the menu changing seasonally. Kutir meaning ‘hut’ will be inspired by royal hunting expeditions in the Indian countryside.

  • Tandoori stone bass with crispy squid
  • Truffle and mushroom khichadi

The White Haus

The White Haus, a new and exciting Alpine-themed pub has opened in Farringdon this month. Spread across three floors, the rustic décor, snowflake chandeliers and chalet-style interior will make you feel as though you’re practically on the slopes. The food follows the same Apre theme with the all-day menu consisting of comfortingly familiar dishes such as chicken schnitzel and cheese fondu.

P.S. They even have bookable cable cars to hire and a retro ski life photobooth! See you on the slopes!

Art Yard

Art Yard, a modern and informal all-day restaurant has just opened a stone’s throw away from the river. The restaurant’s menu created by Head Chef Lee Streeton, focuses on healthy seasonal dishes with twists on some classics, for those looking to indulge. On the bar front, an array of complex cocktails such as the honey-washed Negroni and some local draughts from Bermondsey Brewery are on offer.

  • Fillet of hake with courgettes, tomatoes and preserved lemon
  • Ricotta gnudi with kale, pine nuts and parmesan

Onima

The five-storey Mykonos-inspired restaurant has recently opened in the heart of Mayfair. Consisting of a restaurant, bar and private members club, Onima is set to be a popular hot spot. The restaurant sits on the ground floor offering a Mediterranean style menu with a mix of Greek, Italian and Japanese flavours.

  • Scottish lobster, tagliolini with cherry tomatoes
  • Roasted seabass with aubergines puree and sautéed Italian chicory
