Our client is looking for an experienced Events Manager to join a really great team with a great working culture, looking after Sales & Planning of Events for an award-winning caterer based in SW London

Driving sales and maximising revenue whilst building strong, positive relationships and acting as a brand ambassador and strengthening the brand image.

The Role:

* Respond to all event enquiries, successfully closing and converting event sales to new and existing clients
* Conduct pre and post contract venue site visits, client meetings and menu tastings, developing relationships with clients
* Main contact with client from enquiry to event completion, working alongside the operations and kitchen teams, building good relationships and promoting good venue partnerships
* Account manage; retaining and developing existing clients whilst also growing the database
* Seek and attend industry networking events to gather new business opportunities
* Venue management; building relationships with the operations team and promoting good venue partnerships
* Ensure high quality service is delivered across every event, with every client and every venue ensuring repeat business
* Attend familiarisation trips, site visits and client entertainment as required
* Proactive market research

About the ideal candidate:

* Must have previous sales and planning experience for a caterer or venue
* Have a passion for events with strong negotiation skills and driven to exceed expectations both personally and commercially
* Strong admin and organisational skills
* A natural people person and team player
* Creative, motivated and positive
* Excellent attention to detail
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
