Change are looking for experienced Chef de Parties to work in a meat-focused gastropub located in Islington. Our client uses the best farms and suppliers in the country. They present a daily changing menu that reflects the most seasonal produce the country has to offer. Butchering is done on site, and fresh fish is delivered daily.

This will be a contracted job ongoing until early Spring.

* Candidates must have previous experience in British gastropubs, with a keen eye for preparing and cooking meat.
* You must be ready to commit to working throughout the busy period, as this will be guaranteed work with full time hours and the potential to join the team permanently.
* You must have a positive attitude, perform well under pressure, be flexible, have a passion for food and attention to detail.

*Our minimum requirements*

* You must have a minimum of 3-4 years relevant industry experience
* Passport/Visa (Proof of ability to work in the UK)
* Up to date Level 2 or above Health and Hygiene Certificate.
* Chef Whites, Safety Shoes, and Knives
* At least 2 written or telephone referees/references
* A Great Command of English
* UK Bank Account and National Insurance Number

Situated in North London, our client is a casual and sophisticated restaurant, bar and events space. The venue offers an easy going, intimate atmosphere, perfect for any social or corporate event.

We are looking for an Events Manager to be responsible for driving all new business for the company through networking, marketing and social media and developing existing customer relationships.

Main responsibilities:

– Generate interest for events and respond to all enquiries within the company guidelines.

– Be the first point of contact for all Events.

– Create bespoke proposals for enquiries within agreed time-frames.

– Write accurate function sheets to ensure seamless delivery by the operations team.

– Maximise sales and capacity through effective yield management.

– Follow-up potential sales leads from such events.

– To undertake any other duties and projects at the request of the line manager.

The ideal candidate:

– Proven record with pro-active sales in events

– Experience in hospitality venues

– Good understanding of the market and industry

– A professional, supported by a strong business acumen and exceptional communication skills including telephone manner and email correspondence

– A team player but can work alone

– A strong understanding of food, drink and restaurant trends is important
