A beautiful Buckinghamshire hotel is now on the hunt for a Chef de Partie to join their motivated and dedicated brigade of chefs on a permanent basis. This position offers a 40 hour a week contract and is a great opportunity for learning in a friendly environment. As a Chef de Partie, you will be expected to help in food preparation, service and all areas of HACCP and quality control. Junior members of staff will look to you for support, so you must be a team player with positive attitude.

What we need from you:

* Previous experience as a Chef de Partie
* Previous hotel or restaurant experience
* Passport or ID and visa where applicable
* Food Hygiene Certificate in line with Hospitality and Catering Industry standards
* National Insurance Number
* 2 years of references supplied
* Proof of address ie bank statement or utility bill from the last 3 months

* To prepare foodstuffs as directed and monitor food levels during the service periods.
* To ensure that all aspects of the Food Safety Act are met and report any concerns to the Head Chef.
* To maintain the required standards of hygiene and tidiness within the kitchen areas.

* To ensure, when necessary, that all products are checked on delivery and stored in the appropriate areas.
* To adhere to Health & Safety legislation, reporting incidents to the Duty Manager.
* To maintain departmental standards of tidiness and cleanliness.
* To offer guidance and training to junior members of the kitchen brigade.
* To work as a team player to ensure all departmental requirements are met in full.

Hours of Work – An average of 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

* Management of computerised function diary
* Coordination / inputting of all corporate company conferences and golf events onto Opera Sales and Catering software and Concept Golf software
* Administration of all paperwork linking with bookings, i.e contracts, function sheets and invoices
* Attendance at the Daily DASH meeting to read through and answer any questions from Operations with regards to current and forthcoming events
* To be fully conversant with all bookings within the Opera System
* Ensure that the chase system is kept up to date and chases are completed daily
* Booking accommodation in connection with conferences using Opera software
* Booking third party companies on behalf of the client and ensuring that these charges are met by the client either directly or through invoice
* Adhere to all SPC account management procedures
* Communicating with Resident/Reservations departments with up to date rooming lists and guests’ requirements
* Responsible for all stationary and printed literature within the sales office and putting together conference and wedding packs
* Creating and distributing all menus, place cards and table plans relating to functions
* Liaising with all internal departments with regards to functions and future bookings and keeping all departments fully informed always
* Building relationships with current clients and agents
* Producing, collating and distributing function sheets weekly and to strict timing, ensuring that all information is current and correct
* Complete a set amount of sales calls per week

Our client is currently looking for a passionate regional Sales manager that can ensure sales budgets are achieved whilst ensuring that the team are working by property standards. The successful candidate must have a background in premium hotel and event sales. With experience of generating new business through sales calls, FAM Trips and conducting 5-star standard appointments. Experience in Account Management essential and generating and executing seasonal sales plan. Understanding of Opera Sales and Catering preferred.

Essential duties & requirements

* Generation of £150k worth of new business from Proactive sales per financial quarter

This target is in addition to the closure of business through the Events team.

* Ensure you and the Events Sales Executives are fully aware of sales and project targets
* Executing a minimum of 4 FAM trips with the Events teams and Agencies a month
* Minimum of 10 external sales calls a week generating new leads for the Events Team and Corporate Rates.
* Minimum of 5 site visits per week showing clients facilities at Stoke Park
* Annual conference agent’s roadshow and annual travel agent’s roadshow ensuring all key agencies are seen at least once a year.

* Forecasting revenue for forthcoming financial periods and quarters
* Ensure targets are met for Account Management calls and procedures
* Liaise with the Event team looking at all bookings over the value of 5K and helping to close the business with a site visit or appointment to present
* Identify cross selling opportunities and action them with other departments within the property
* Manage team appointments, rotas, sickness and holiday to ensure the department always has maximum coverage
* Creating and representing SPC FAM trips in line with targets
* Ensure the SPC chase procedure is adhered too
