The number of Brits planning to eat out for Christmas Day this year looks to have trebled from last year, according to a recent survey of AA members. The poll of 20,000 people found that 10% plan to enjoy their Christmas dinner in a pub or restaurant, compared to 3% last year. So, if you’re part of that 10% who feel like getting out of the kitchen this year, then luckily there are plenty of places to cater for you in London. Tom Kerridge’s Bar & Grill based in The Corinthia are serving their first Christmas dinner and it sounds impeccable. Rotisserie Roasted Norfolk Brown Turkey is the highlight on the menu and along with other rotisserie meats, this will certainly be a meal that will leave you feeling satisfied. The seven-course menu finishes off with ‘Kerridge’s Christmas Pudding’ which we all know is bound to be exquisite.

The Bluebird, situated in the heart of Chelsea, is well known for being a frequent celebrity hangout and host to an array of events. Their Christmas offering is an exciting 4-course menu of roasted pumpkin velouté, followed by dorset crab, with the option of a traditional turkey lunch or salt baked celeriac for the main. To finish off the menu a classic Christmas pudding and nutmeg tart which sounds delectable.

For those looking to avoid the Turkey this year, Min Jiang’s modern Chinese banquet is certainly the restaurant for you. Situated in the heart of Mayfair on the tenth floor of The Royal Garden Hotel, not only is their view of Hyde Park exceptional, but there Christmas Day menu of lobster soup, steamed king crab with black truffle and Beijing duck sounds delicious.

If you are looking for a traditional Christmas lunch, join The Zetter for a decadent 4-course meal with all the dishes you’d expect. Le Pont de la Tour’s Head Chef Orson Vergnaud has created a French inspired five-course Tasting menu, which is the crème de la crème of Christmas Day feasts. It starts out with smoked duck and truffle terrine, followed by, poached Scottish langoustines. It then has a slight European twist on the traditional turkey dinner as the dish is served with wild mushroom duxelle, truffle pomme puree and madeira sauce.
