It’s all about the rooftops on the longest day of the year

When the sun shines late into the evening and any chance of closing your eyes before 10.30pm is dismal, you may as well make the most of your Monday and hit up some of the most glorious outdoor rooftops London has to offer. We definitely recommend you bar hop between establishments and get a real taste for the city’s finest.

  1. Aqua Spirit

Enjoy some beverages in serious style at Aqua Spirit. Relax with a refreshing cocktail on the glorious terrace, boasting a stunning view over the rooftops of Soho. Word to the wise, sample some utterly delicious Japanese bar snacks (from the clever ones who got chef jobs at this cool joint) while you’re sipping on your dirty martini… You won’t regret it.

  1. Ham Yard Hotel rooftop

A garden rooftop with sweeping views of London. Enjoy a cooling summer beverage on the beautiful leafy terrace and soak in the extraordinarily long day of sunshine. Two minutes walk from Piccadilly Circus and not far from our other front runners, Aqua Spirit and Notch (once again, we highly recommend a Monday night bar crawl).

  1. Notch

A brand spanking new pop up in Central London that’s well worth a visit. To keep out the camera slinging, slow walking tourists, Notch has created a secret entrance tucked away at the far end of Oxford St. Climb the stairs to a superb retreat from the busy street below and kick back with the hard working bar staff. Grab a Negroni served in a wonderfully weird tin can and some top food from the Fudo Shack, think short rib tacos and buffalo wings – with Asian vibes. Mmm.

  1. Radio Bar at ME Hotel

Another stunning rooftop to add to the list. Atop the very trendy ME Hotel, sits a terrace showcasing a pretty unreal 360 degree view of our capital city. While lines to the popular rooftop aren’t uncommon, a sneaky visit on a Monday may see you gliding straight on in. Use the late sunset to soak in the view while you down a G&T (they have over 10 different Gins to choose from – hip hip hooray). Alternatively, get nostalgic with a Summer Nights cocktail: Grey Goose, strawberry, vanilla and lemon, ah yes please.

While there are countless more options in London, there’s no doubt you’ll be grinning from ear to ear at any of these epic rooftops. The destinations are easy to get to, offer great hideouts from the hustle and bustle and best of all, they all rep a very talented team of bar staff serving up some a-class drinks (trust us, we’re specialists in bar recruitment after all).
